Remember:
- Temperature of the food should be between 40°C and 45°C.
- Make sure the food doesn’t stay in the crop too long.
- Feed 10 -12% of the chick’s body weight.
- Constant room temperatures are critical.
- Newly hatched chicks have a poor immunity – 0-6 weeks is critical, avoid any challenges.
- Hygiene is vital – sterilize equipment, wash and sanitize hands, wear clean protective clothing.
